Construction Readiness Training


The CSBTTI offers multiple types of Construction Readiness Training.  We have our primary 40-Hour Credential Week that is offered monthly.  We have a new program that is being offered through the National Building Trades (, as well as Women Can Weld.  The following information details the upcoming schedule of opportunities.


To Register for one of the classes, you must first be pre-registered with the CSBTTI. 


To Participate in a 40-Hour Credential Week You Must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be able to pass a drug test
  • Have a valid CT drivers license or a valid learner's permit
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED

Graduates will receive:

  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Introduction to the Trades
  • Construction Math
  • Job readiness skills
  • Receive support in applying to a unionized apprenticeship
  • Support services available.

Earn it, while you learn it! Combine on-the-job training with classroom instruction and be paid to participate!
